Verified 29 October 2026. All five unmodified upstream font files use SIL Open Font License 1.1. No project license replaces it.

The variable Devanagari font comes from [Google Fonts](https://github.com/google/fonts/tree/main/ofl/notoserifdevanagari), with its complete upstream notice in [OFL.txt](OFL.txt). The static Devanagari Regular and Medium files come from [notofonts/noto-fonts](https://github.com/notofonts/noto-fonts/tree/main/hinted/ttf/NotoSerifDevanagari). The static Latin Regular and Bold files come from [NotoSerif in that repository](https://github.com/notofonts/noto-fonts/tree/main/hinted/ttf/NotoSerif). The static repository license additionally carries “Copyright 2018 The Noto Project Authors (github.com/googlei18n/noto-fonts)”; that complete file is preserved unchanged in [OFL-static.txt](OFL-static.txt). Exact 2019 and 2015–2021 binary notices are retained here as well as inside the original fonts. Retrieved 29 October 2026.

The web reader self-hosts the variable Devanagari font and declares the Latin faces for printing; prebuilt PDFs embed only the static Noto fonts. No glyphs or names have been modified. Embedding or using an OFL font does not license the document text under the OFL. Preserve applicable copyright and OFL notices when redistributing font files; review the full OFL for modified fonts and reserved-name requirements. Proprietary device fonts named in screen CSS fallbacks are not included in this repository or prebuilt PDF downloads. A visitor’s browser/printer configuration can choose its own fallback fonts or running headers; any embedding remains subject to that font’s permissions.
