Mixing and mastering are crucial aspects of music production that are often overlooked or done improperly. Ultimately, the separation between a good and great track is often the quality of the mixing and mastering work. We are pleased to offer top of the line mixing and mastering services by certified audio engineers from the London Academy of Contemporary Music. All mixing projects will be completed within five business days of submission, and are allowed two subsequent edits based on input from the artist or label. All mastering projects will be completed within three business days, and allowed two subsequent edits based on input from the artist or label. Upon completion, the track will meet or exceed industry standards for distribution on Soundcloud, Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Additionally, we offer a free repost with our entire Soundcloud network for all tracks that we mix or master.
Mixing is the process by which multiple tracks (stems) are combined into one cohesive and balanced channel. During the course of the procedure, a source's volume level, frequency content, dynamics, and panoramic position are manipulated and enhanced. Effects such as reverberation and echo may also be added.
Mastering gives a mixed track final touches before it is ready to be released. The source track is enhanced using equalization, compression, limiting, noise reduction and other processes. More tasks, such as editing, pre-gapping, leveling, fading in and out, and other signal restoration and enhancement processes may be applied as part of the mastering stage.
The mastering process is applied to individual stems.
Please note that stem mastering is not mixing.
For a service quality reference, please see below. The first track is mixed by our audio engineers, but not mastered, while the second track is both mixed and mastered.
